6/15 - Day 12

Sunrise at Sanders Campground.  Racine.
Rondelle Theater (as re-located to the Johnson Wax Administration site in Racine by Taliesin Fellows).  More information here
SC Johnson Wax R+D tower.
Masonry + polycarbonate detailing at Rondelle masonry supports.
Hardy House.  Entry detail.  As seen in Oak Park, house number and lamp are axially centered on entryway, requiring visitor to 'turn upon entry'.  Ever so subtle, but nonetheless asserts an architectural position relative to entry.  Contrast this with most 'front doors', which instead would place the door where the lamp is.
Hardy House.  View to backside opens to Lake Michigan.
Hardy House.  Window detail.
Mark and Cindy Hertzberg.  Many thanks to them for sharing lunch and stories regarding Wright.  Mark has published 3 books all about FLW in Racine.  See his website here.
Johnson House.  Wingspread.  Cantilevered 'Romeo + Juliet' balcony.
Johnson House.  Wingspread.  Trellis detail.
Wingspread.  Great room interior (wigwam windows and fireplace).
Wingspread.  Entry from East 4 Mile Road.
