6/10 - Day 7

Anthony Home.  Midway Garden Sprite poised amongst lilies at the house's entry drive.
As seen in the Weltzheimer-Johnson House, apertures created at roof non-structural points allow air movement + sun penetration, all which produce dynamic shadow effects throughout the day.
I believe this to be a fire pit, though I didn't poke around too much.  At a minimum it is a sculpture emulating the house's roof line.
Local stone used to create a massive building plinth.  'Out of the ground and into the light! -FLW'  The house's stone base emerges from the promontory like a firmly anchored rupture.
View crossing the St. Joseph River from Bentor Harbor en route to Grand Beach.
Graceland Cemetery.  Lunch break along Red Arrow Highway.
Detail.  Tree bark.
View from top of sand dune (Warren Dunes State Park) overlooking Lake Michigan.

Typical summer vacation home (pre-fab unit) as advertised on above sign.
